  2. Sorry, forgot to ask in previous comment. I'd like to make a winter version of this dress, would there be a suitable wool that would work for this pattern? I don't really have experience sewing with wool and don't know what would drape best. Thanks.

  3. Hi Katie,

Glad your keen to get sewing! Regarding a wool for the Lily Dress pattern, I think a crepe wool with lots of drape would be fantastic

  4. I sewed the dress this Sunday and it comes very nice. You can see it hier (http://vonmema.blogspot.de/2012/08/kaferkleid-fur-das-sommerfest.html). The directions were clear with the exception of the pocket. But I managed it.

  6. I have just finished it and am very happy with it! Wondering if I might shorten it, am going to sleep on it!
I also found pocket a little more complicated than it should have been, but got there by not thinking about the steps, just following them one at a time!
    Thanks!

I really loved seeing your version and will do a special step by step blog post to better explain the pocket instructions in this pattern. Thanks for the feedback.

  7. I have just finished my Lily..very pleased. Photos and review on Pattern Review. The 'print at copy shop' option was great. I would love to try a Gaby Dress for summer. Have you considered making this available as a copy shop option?
