My second post...(finally)... has to be about our fantastic and very 1st Tessuti Awards night at our Surry Hills store held on the 21st November.
This will now be a yearly event where any of our creative customers eg: homesewers, dressmakers and fashion students etc... can create a garment made from Tessuti fabrics to wear on the night ,and have the opportunity to show off their hidden talents ,to inspire others, as well as getting inspired themselves....and this years lucky winners were given great prizes...the 1st prize...a return trip to Italy!!!
It was a wonderful evening with a fantastic turnout and an amazing array of great outfits. Even more amazing was that ,the overall winner Beth Finckh has only been sewing a year. Beth created a beautiful smock style dress out of a cotton blend jacquard and it was modelled perfectly by her sister Luci...see story and picture here
Beth has already booked her overseas trip...her first ever. She will be heading to Italy and Greece to meet up with a friend.....have a fantastic trip Beth!
